Formed by Artistic Director, Mark Carter in 1990, Down Stage Right Productions was originally a Richmond-based youth/adult Theatre
Company. In 1996, DSRP hit adulthood, and began to produce quality
theatre all over the lower mainland.
Previous Credits include: Juvie and Asylum (1990), Steel Magnolias
(1991), I’ll Be Back Before Midnight (1992), Return Engagements (1995), Four One Acts in Rep (1995), Bullshot Crummond (1996), Rehearsal for Murder (1996), Good Evening (1997), One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1997/98), Blame it on Broadway - Musical Revue (1999), The Rocky
Horror Show (2000), The Scandalous Adventures of Sir Toby Trollope
(2000), Cabaret (2000/2001), Extremities (2002), Charlotte’s Web
(2003/2004), Winnie the Pooh (2003), Agnes of God (2003), Bullshot Crummond (2006/2008).
Some of DSR’s most successful productions (Cuckoo’s Nest, Rehearsal for Murder, Charlotte’s Web) went on to enjoy second runs. Others were remounted by alternate companies, like Cabaret, (Ophidian
Entertainment) and The Rocky Horror Show (The Arts Club Theatre, 2002).
